Visibility of eTwinning Projects Group July 2026 Newsletter
Looking back, it is difficult to say exactly when everything truly began. Perhaps it began with a torch. Perhaps with a few simple words spoken by the Peace Run athletes. Or perhaps it began at the moment when that torch ceased to be merely a symbol to admire and became a responsibility to embrace. Because the real relay was never the one run by the athletes. It was the relay of ideas, values and shared responsibility.
Through eTwinning, that relay continued from one school to another, from one country to another, bringing together children who had never met before and helping them discover that they belonged to one great European community built on peace, dialogue and cooperation.

Alessandra Poltronieri is an Italian primary school teacher, eTwinning Ambassador and coordinator of international educational projects. Passionate about peace education and educational innovation, she designs collaborative learning experiences that combine creativity, digital technologies and intercultural dialogue, helping children become active European citizens and builders of peace.
Peace is not something adults simply hand over to children. It is something children learn to build together, every single day: one bridge, and one relay, at a time.
