Let your Poems of Peace travel beyond borders and become messages of hope capable of reaching children throughout Europe. longer simply participants in an eTwinning project. They had become Messengers of Peace.
A Mission Travelling from School to School Every partner school received the same invitation: build bridges instead of walls.
From the very beginning, we wanted the project to be more than a sequence of activities. We wanted it to become a shared story, in which every school could contribute an essential piece of the whole.
This challenge was far more than the final task of the project. It became the common thread running through the entire school year. Every activity, every meeting and every collaborative product represented another step towards fulfilling that promise.
Just as the Peace Run torch travels from runner to runner across cities, countries and continents, the mission itself continued its journey through eTwinning. No longer was it the torch that was being passed on, but an idea, a shared responsibility and a common commitment. From one school to another, every partner embraced the mission, enriched it with its own culture, creativity and experiences, and then passed it on to the next European partner.
The relay did not end when the athletes left our school. It continued throughout the entire school year, transforming a symbolic sporting event into a shared educational experience. From that moment onwards, the children were no
In this way, pupils experienced international collaboration not as a simple exchange of materials, but as the coconstruction of relationships, meanings and shared responsibilities. They developed citizenship skills through authentic experiences of dialogue, cooperation and participation.
The first collaborative activity gave concrete form to the mission the children had received. The words " Peace Begins With Us," placed at the heart of the project logo, became a genuine Relay of Peace. Each partner school coloured one section of the phrase before entrusting it to the Peace Run athletes, who physically carried it to the next school along their route.
Step by step, just like the Peace Run torch, the message travelled across schools, communities and countries. With each new contribution, the logo gradually came to life until, at the final stop, the
