Visibility of eTwinning Projects Group July 2026 Newsletter
This discussion became the starting point of DriVETrain – Career Compass, my first eTwinning project as a founder. Implemented from October 2025 to May 2026, the project brought together 22 partner teachers and 158 pupils from Moldova, Türkiye, Portugal, Italy and Romania. Most participants came from vocational education and training institutions, which made career guidance, employability and professional identity especially relevant.
Career-related vocabulary was therefore learned in authentic contexts and immediately transformed into meaningful products.
Among the shared outcomes were an interactive Career Guide, the Trending Jobs in Our Countries eMagazine, a Map of Jobs, individual Skills Passports, an eSafety Calendar, a collaborative story, the project slogan and song, educational games, a podcast and the final interactive environment, Dream Career Land.
From an English classroom to a career laboratory English was not treated merely as a school subject. It became the common language through which pupils researched, discussed, negotiated, presented and created. They explored traditional, emerging and disappearing professions, compared labour-market trends in their countries, identified soft and hard skills and reflected on the relationship between passion, stability and career decisions.
The activities connected English with Personal Development, ICT, Citizenship Education and career education. Pupils read and synthesised information, wrote job descriptions, prepared arguments, recorded videos and podcasts, participated in online meetings and communicated with international partners.
