Allowing students to collaborate and connect across different languages and cultures builds a truly inclusive classroom climate— far more effectively than traditional lectures. On that occasion, I will also present the selfassessment tool on inclusion and wellbeing contained in the ESEP, designed to help teachers and school leaders evaluate and improve their school ' s inclusion policies and practices. It includes a series of targeted questions aimed at improving school success for all and fostering an inclusive, healthy environment.
Retirement isn ' t the end of our contribution to education; it’ s simply a new chapter of systemic impact. We may have handed over our daily lesson plans, but we have not handed over our commitment to community-building, democratic school innovation and international partnership.

Maria Rosaria Gismondi is a retired EFL high school teacher who continues to actively foster and support the European and international dimension of education. Appointed as an eTwinning Ambassador for the area of Latium in 2013, in recognition of her extensive involvement in European projects, she currently serves as an Erasmus + School Ambassador. A qualified supervisor of trainee teachers, her areas of expertise focus on digital skills in education and career guidance. Throughout her career, she has consistently updated her professional profile by attending numerous in-service Comenius and Erasmus + training courses abroad. Today, she leverages her experience to mentor peers and promote international educational collaboration as well as the positive effects of European projects in the classroom.
Paola Arduini is a retired primary school teacher with over 40 years of teaching experience. She has been actively involved in eTwinning and European educational cooperation for more than twenty years. Appointed as an eTwinning Ambassador for the Latium region in 2010, she has also been part of the Italian Erasmus + School Ambassador network coordinated by the Erasmus + National Agency INDIRE since 2022. Throughout her career she has designed and coordinated dozens of European projects, delivered training courses for teachers, and promoted school internationalisation. She founded and moderated the Virgilio – Your eTwinning Guide community for ten years and currently contributes to coordinating the Virgilio Italia group, supporting teachers through mentoring, professional development, and the dissemination of European opportunities.
