Collaborative activities towards deeper understanding In the first half of the project, during November and December 2025, our main collaborative activity included teachers ' collaboration on the preparation of various tasks which were offered to students to work on them. Tasks were related to four main topics: Energy consumption of digital devices, energy footprint of digital actions and services, AI energy footprint; Forests and paper( deforestation and its impact on biodiversity and climate change, sustainable forest management and paper recycling); Eco-friendly printing( responsible printing), and Data centers and water consumption. Students were able to choose the topic and task they would work on, which was intended to enable students to take responsibility for their own learning, increase their motivation and engagement in learning, and encourage them to think and make decisions. The opportunity for students to choose was provided by using a pinboard as a choice board, or visual organizer, on which different activities were offered at different levels of difficulty for students to choose from.
Building on the activities from November, next month students collaborated on the creation of a joint presentation in which each school chose a topic for which students added a text with conclusions on the researched topics, and a topic for which students added an AI generated image. Furthermore, students proposed the title for the joint presentation, and an online voting via StrawPoll was organized to select the final title( Sustainable Solutions for Our Planet- GDCs on a Mission to Save Earth).
