The most valuable outcome of the project was not a single digital product or activity.
It was seeing students become more confident, collaborative, digitally responsible, and prepared to face an uncertain future.
The jointly created Life Skills Handbook, collaborative videos, digital stories, posters, and virtual exhibitions reflected not only academic learning but also creativity, teamwork, adaptability, and critical thinking.
Figen Geçgin is a Turkish teacher at İlkadım 23 Nisan Secondary School in Samsun, Türkiye. She coordinates international eTwinning projects focusing on wellbeing, digital citizenship, artificial intelligence, sustainability, and future skills, promoting innovative and collaborative learning experiences that prepare students for an everchanging world.
Teachers also benefited by integrating innovative teaching methods, AIsupported learning, and international collaboration into everyday classroom practice.
Life Skills for the Future reminded us that education is no longer only about preparing students for examinations. It is about preparing them for life.
When schools provide authentic opportunities to collaborate, reflect, create, and solve real problems, students begin developing the competencies they will carry into adulthood.
Perhaps the most important lesson from our project is simple: future-ready citizens are not created through technology alone but through meaningful learning experiences that place students at the centre of education.
