sustainable behaviours and simple ways in which everyone can contribute to reducing resource consumption. Students shared their created materials within the community, at school, and in public spaces, becoming promoters of a responsible lifestyle. Through this activity, children not only gained knowledge about sustainability but also learned how to communicate, support their ideas with arguments, and share important messages with others. The Reading component was integrated through the creation of a“ Green Dictionary”, which included specific terms related to the topic: solar energy, wind energy, recycling, sustainability, solar panels, wind turbines, and energy saving. This activity contributed to enriching students’ vocabulary and helping them understand ecological concepts in an accessible way.
Engineering was explored through the construction of LEGO wind turbines. This practical activity helped students understand the principle of transforming wind energy into a useful source of power. During the building process, children developed their creativity, problemsolving skills, and ability to work collaboratively. Arts played an important role through the performance of the song“ S. O. S.”, through which students conveyed an emotional message about the need to protect nature. This artistic moment demonstrated that environmental education can be expressed not only through research and technology but also through sensitivity, music, and creativity. Mathematics was applied in a context close to everyday life through the analysis of energy consumption. Students studied
electricity, gas, and heating bills, making comparisons and calculations for different periods of time. In this way, they understood the connection between resource consumption, family expenses, and environmental protection. Through this activity, mathematics became a practical tool for developing responsible behaviours and encouraging energy saving both at home and at school. The module concluded with a reflection podcast, during which students discussed what they had discovered, the importance of renewable energy sources, and the ways in which each person can contribute to protecting the planet.
Collaborative products, reflection, and project impact In addition to the activities carried out within the four thematic modules, students had the opportunity to create collaborative educational products, making use of the experiences and knowledge gained throughout the project. A relevant example is represented by the collaborative mathematics problem books inspired by the topics explored: water, air, soil, and green energy. Through the creation of these products, students demonstrated that they could transform their own discoveries into valuable learning resources for other children as well.
A special moment of the project was the activity organized on the occasion of Earth Day, when students participated in an educational Kahoot game dedicated to environmental protection. This activity combined learning with the joy of competition, allowing children to
