Through various activities, children explored how an ordinary cardboard box, once it has fulfilled its original purpose, can become a valuable resource for creating something new.
Parents actively joined the project by collecting cardboard boxes and taking part in creative activities with their children. Working together, they built a cardboard town and settlement, designing houses, buildings, roads, parks and other elements that make up a living community. During this work, children developed imagination, creativity and cooperative skills, while at the same time adopting the fundamental values of sustainable development through experiential learning.
The project did not remain limited to international cooperation with partner institutions. Through their engagement, children and parents made a significant contribution to spreading the idea of eTwinning within our institution. Through joint work, they became active promoters of the project activities and showed how the European values of cooperation, creativity and sustainability can come to life in the everyday kindergarten environment.
As the final result of the project, a joint exhibition was organised on the kindergarten premises, presenting the cardboard town created through the cooperation of children, parents and educators. The exhibition attracted the attention of children from other groups, parents, expert associates and kindergarten staff, and became an opportunity to introduce the wider
kindergarten community to the project ' s goals and results. In this way, eTwinning became more visible to all members of our institution, and the results achieved showed how powerful a driver of positive change joint action can be.
By participating in eTwinning projects, parents get the opportunity to become better acquainted with contemporary approaches to learning and teaching, while through joint activities children develop a sense of belonging, responsibility and active participation in the community. At the same time, educators gain valuable partners who, through their knowledge, experience and support, contribute to the quality of the educational process.
