The project aims to combine language education, intercultural dialogue, creativity, and collaborative learning while strengthening the professional competences of future teachers.
Storytelling was selected as the project ' s pedagogical approach because it provides meaningful language input and creates opportunities for authentic communication, creativity, and inclusion( Bruner, 1996). Rather than treating English as a collection of isolated grammatical structures, the project encourages children to experience language through stories, imagination, artistic expression, and collaborative activities.
Interdisciplinary co-designed project This project has been designed to strengthen pre-service teachers ' competences in using storytelling as a pedagogical tool for English language learning in preschool and primary education. The project integrates English as a Foreign Language( EFL) methodologies into structured creative reading pathways that include prereading, while-reading and post-reading activities while promoting innovative, inclusive and child-centered teaching practices.
The initiative is embedded within three compulsory university courses: English Language Teaching, Storytelling and Narrative Pedagogy, and Language Learning and Methodology in Early Childhood Education. These courses provide future teachers with both theoretical knowledge and practical experience in designing learning activities
