Open Books... Open Minds: Fostering International Collaboration in Initial Teacher Education by Marzia Luzzini
International collaboration has become an essential component of Initial Teacher Education( ITE), enabling pre-service teachers to develop pedagogical, linguistic, digital, and intercultural competences within authentic educational contexts.
The European School Education Platform( ESEP) and eTwinning encourage universities and schools to work together in designing collaborative learning experiences that prepare future teachers for increasingly multilingual and multicultural classrooms.
Within this framework, Open Books... Open Minds was developed as an interdisciplinary project that connects universities and schools across Europe through the shared design of storytellingbased learning activities for preschool and primary education.
The project partners are: Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore of Milan and Brescia, University of Zagreb, Croatia, University of Mersin, Turkey.
