They discovered that their voice mattered. We discovered that they were capable of far more than we had imagined. That moment – seeing their pride, their reflections, their growth – remains one of the most powerful memories of my teaching career.
Unexpected Successes That Still Make Me Smile eTwinning has a way of surprising you. Sometimes the smallest activity becomes the one that touches students the most. Sometimes a shy student becomes the leader of an international team. Some other times a simple exchange of ideas becomes a long-term partnership between schools. One unexpected success came when students collaborated with peers abroad to design a shared digital story. They negotiated roles, solved problems, and celebrated each other’ s ideas. The final product was beautiful, but the real achievement was the teamwork, the empathy, and the confidence they gained.
How eTwinning Changed Me as a Teacher Professionally, eTwinning has been a transformative journey. It taught me to embrace innovation, to trust students more, and to see collaboration as a powerful engine for learning. It pushed me to grow, to explore new activities, to build new contacts, to experiment with digital tools, to rethink my role not just as a teacher, but as a mentor and facilitator.
It also gave visibility to my school, my students, and my colleagues. It connected us with Europe. It made us part of something bigger.
