Visibility of eTwinning Projects Group July 2026 Newsletter bringing together students ' research on the defining elements of the participating cultures. The magazine features articles about tourist attractions, traditional crafts, folk tales, customs, and games from each country, becoming a genuine collection celebrating European and international cultural diversity.
Another important objective of the project was to raise awareness of the need to preserve cultural heritage. To achieve this, students collaborated in creating an online calendar of traditional celebrations. The Romanian team was responsible for presenting the Sânziene tradition through brainstorming sessions, research, teamwork, and the synthesis of relevant information.
Among the most appreciated activities was the " Cultural Evening ", during which each participating country presented a short video highlighting one of its national traditions. The Romanian team used artificial intelligence to produce a video about the Mărțișor tradition, offering international partners a modern and engaging presentation of this iconic Romanian symbol. The event also featured presentations of traditional childhood games. Romanian students brought the game " The Bear Is Sleeping "( Ursul, ursul doarme) back to life by explaining its rules and demonstrating it through a video recording, which generated considerable interest and enthusiasm among the participants.
The final evaluation confirmed the project ' s positive impact on all participants. Students developed their digital, communication, collaboration, and
intercultural competences, while the experience broadened their understanding of European and universal values. Furthermore, the professional relationships established among teachers continued beyond the project ' s completion. In collaboration with their Turkish partners, Marin Coman Theoretical High School in Galați became a cofounding school in a new eTwinning project, further strengthening the international partnerships established through " Culture Mosaic ".
Through its activities, the " Culture Mosaic " project demonstrated that education transcends geographical and cultural borders. When students learn together, share their traditions, and collaborate toward a common goal, they build lasting bridges between people and cultures, transforming the school into a genuine space for dialogue, creativity, and European citizenship.
Maria Vlase is a Romanian Language teacher at Marin Coman Theoretical High School in Galați, Romania. The institution she represents is the only private high school in the region. She is recognised for her innovative teaching approaches, integrating modern technologies, educational games, and interactive activities into her lessons.
