20th Senior Open of Virginia Winner: Rick Schuller, PGA( 69-72— 141) Site: Independence Golf Club The story: Schuller seems impervious to growing older. Having won his first Senior Open in 2013, he added a fourth title to his stellar resume 12 years later, outdueling fellow PGA professional Jimmy Flipper by a stroke. Fredericksburg CC’ s Jon Hurst was low amateur.

Lauren Greenlief won the Women’ s Mid-Amateur for the first time in three tries. Chun finished three strokes clear of Piedmont member Sunny Small. McCullough breezed to her second straight title, winning by seven strokes. And Lumsden, a former VSGA board member, took home the title in the Net. 2025 VSGA Senior and Super Senior Multi-Format Team Championships Winners: Senior, Cam Young and Buck Brittain( 60-69— 129); Super Senior, Mike Ligon and Jack Catlett( 64-69— 133) Site: Lakeside Park Club The story: Seven years after winning the Senior Four-Ball and Senior Amateur in the same year, Young finally reached the winner’ s circle again, teaming with Brittain. Young has battled back injuries for years and finally has his game back in shape. Ligon and Catlett swept the VSGA’ s two super senior partners events, having won the Super Senior Four-Ball in May.
