KATHRYN HA
VSGA JUNIOR GIRLS GOLFER OF THE YEAR
Home Club : Roanoke CC
What was your personal highlight of the year ? My personal highlight was playing alongside the pros at the AJGA / LPGA Mizuho Americas Open at Liberty National in May . They truly treated us like pros , and I gained unforgettable memories and experiences from the week .
Golf goals for 2025 : My goal for 2025 is to qualify and play in more prestigious amateur / USGA events as I transition toward the collegiate level .
What is a fun fact no one knows about you ? My favorite drink is any smoothie with strawberries .
What golf ball do you play and how do you mark it ? Titleist ProV1 . I mark it with black and red lines with one line drawn perpendicular to the rest .
How do you manage your life / golf time balance ? I try my best to get ahead of schoolwork when I know I ’ ll be out of town for an upcoming tournament . Also , taking a day or two off has become important to me because I ’ ve come to understand there are other things I enjoy doing outside of golf such as : hanging out with friends , going to the gym , shopping , listening to music , etc . However , I get optimal results on the course when I ’ m completely in the zone during practice , and when I continually focus on improving weaker aspects of my game . Quality over quantity !
