DAY 2
MORNING: KING’S NORTH AT MYRTLE
BEACH NATIONAL—There are three
excellent courses here, but this Arnold
Palmer design is the must-play for its many
memorable holes with no houses in sight,
particularly the par-5 16th, which features
an island fairway.
AFTERNOON: LONG BAY CLUB—In
addition to a Palmer course, fellow legend
Jack Nicklaus has sculpted a gem and one
of the top courses in the state. Golfers must
contend with streams that cut through
several holes and massive bunkers, as well
as considerable elevation change, especially
for Myrtle Beach.
