DAY 2 MORNING: KING’S NORTH AT MYRTLE BEACH NATIONAL—There are three excellent courses here, but this Arnold Palmer design is the must-play for its many memorable holes with no houses in sight, particularly the par-5 16th, which features an island fairway. AFTERNOON: LONG BAY CLUB—In addition to a Palmer course, fellow legend Jack Nicklaus has sculpted a gem and one of the top courses in the state. Golfers must contend with streams that cut through several holes and massive bunkers, as well as considerable elevation change, especially for Myrtle Beach.
