: Story of My Life Sarah Lee: Oh dear, which memory to choose! There was the time Aria, Joey, Kai and I ran around the kiddy pool in Jogja Bay pretending that we were trench soldiers (also the day we risked our lives three times on the tube slide). In 7th grade, Breeana and Larissa, seniors, came to sit with me at lunch; it was a glorious moment. In 8th grade, when I sung a duet on stage with Bethany Armistead, I was so incredibly nervous that my voice was shaking. In 9th grade, I remember sleeping over at Doo Hee’s room for the first time and she told me that her birthday was the day before! Listening to Katie talk about Christmas late at night! Ramen (and Korean drama) nights at the dorm, one of those amazing all-belt chapel worship times, super professional Journalism meetings, studying with white-noise on my headphones in the library (seriously y’all need to keep it quiet there!)... My personal favorites are all the one-on-one times I spent with my friends, mentors, and mentees. Y’all know who you are. :) I plan to attend Biola University in LA, majoring in Intercultural Studies and minoring in Bible. Contact me and send me packages! ;) Sangbeom (Alex) Heo: After graduating from high school, I will be going to the Netherlands to study International Business in University of Groningen. The most memorable thing that happened in my high school years was the senior trip to Jogja. Even though it was a place where we all knew about, we hung out together doing things that we had only thought of doing. After hanging out with the class, I got to appreciate more of the people that have been around me for the last six years. Class of 2017 is the best. Ga Hyeon Jeong: Some of my classmates and I prepared a K-pop dance for the talent show we hosted (2017), and it was absolutely fantastic. Although our performance lasted only about a minute, we practiced the same thing over and over again for multiple days, sweating in our T-shirts and laughing at each other for having no talent in dancing. It was an awesome experience because I felt like we were united and had great teamwork. We all rehearsed with one shared goal, which was to have fun and provide entertainment for the school community. On the day of the show, we danced in sync and successfully brought laughter to the audience! In addition, I LOVED my last banquet. I genuinely enjoyed my time with my classmates and younger classmen. The Juniors prepared the event VERY well and provided amazing food. They deserve a big round of applause! Thank You so much for those who contributed to these wonderful, memorable events. After graduation, I plan to study Education in Chemistry. I’m not sure yet whether I will go to America or Korea for college, but I trust that God will lead and guide me to the right direction because He will. For Real! Rathi Natesan: My most memorable Mountainview experience is Soccer IISSAC 2016. It was my first year at Mountainview, my first year playing soccer, and my first ever IISSAC. I was extremely nervous, but ended up having loads of fun with my team, on and off the field. More importantly, I had Mcdonalds for breakfast and Mcdonalds for dinner. It was great. As for my future plans, I will be going to the U.S. to study Neuroscience. Morgan Mckelvey: Alan took Joey, Kai and I, along with Mr Wollner and David W., camping in Kopeng. After a cold night, we awoke to begin our hike to the top of the mountain. We followed a long, steep, barely visible path, and we reached as near to the top as we could get without cutting through extremely dense underbrush. The view was stunning, and we saw the entire valley through the clouds surrounding us. On the way down, we took an alternate route and stumbled across a small waterfall. All of us, excepting Kai, stripped down, and took turns diving under the freezing water. I can’t remember a time where I felt so alive. The whole experience was rather surreal. My future holds uncertainty, but I plan to major in environmental science, and work overseas with NGO’s. 13
