New Coaches

5 his school year with a brand new sports season, changes have occurred within the soccer team; the biggest of which are the new coaches. Coach Fosdahl and Coach Leverette, have arrived with strong mindset and goals, aiming to push the teams toward their limit.

a familiar face at
Mountainview Christian School( MCS), has taken the guy’ s Varsity Soccer team. In 2015, he had taken the role of assistant coach for the guy’ s Varsity Soccer team. During the season, he noticed a lack of work ethics in some players; despite this, he kept it to himself as he was not in the position to do anything about this players. This experience strongly motivated him to become the head coach. With a philosophy of work ethic, he is ready to choose players who push themselves to their limit as the starters of the team. the best the team could have had. With only 12 players on the team, every single injury on a player was paralyzing. Losing 2 players per practice due to injury, he jokingly declared his goal to end the season to have“ 3 people uninjured with the rest of the people in a hospital.” But despite the injuries, he

On the other hand, C o a c h C h r i s t o p h e r Leverette came to MCS and has taken the girl’ s Varsity Soccer team this year. He had coached middle school soccer teams in Taiwan for the last five years, so he is familiar with coaching. His love for soccer had driven his career throughout the years; he enjoys the

development, the strategy and the game itself. With this, he hopes that the players will develop a love for the game, too. He also hopes that his players will stay active,“ being good stewards of the body God has given us.” Coach Leverette wants the players to develop a confidence in their abilities as players and as well as their love for God. taught him so much about life, he hopes that the players too will be able to learn about life through soccer. Both Coach Fosdahl and Coach by Leverette have started their season Amanda strong, building Angeles up momentum and playing For Him.
