Meet your BOARD OF DIRECTORS
Our goal: To play an ACTIVE role in our community; to offer additional
social venues for our members to promote interaction and community spirit.
CAL
CONFER
President
Following a
career in advertising and
marketing with Western
Canada Lottery Corporation,
Johnson & Johnson, among
others, Cal retired with his
wife Su in 2004 to Presquile
Rd.
In addition to gardening and
walking locally, Cal & Su
have been able to enjoy
many fabulous hikes in far
flung reaches including the
Routeburn and Milford tracts
in New Zealand, the West
Highland Way in Scotland,
part of the Camino de Santiago in Spain, the Tour de
Mont Blanc in Europe, etc.
They can also be seen attending Georgian Bay Symphony and occasionally at
Summerfolk and events at
the Roxy. While living in
Alberta, Cal was elected (and
re-elected) to Council in the
Town of Stettler where he
helped ensure the viability of
a local steam train by securing funding for 20 miles of
abandoned railway line. This
may account for his interest
in following Georgian Bluffs
Council to ensure that local
issues are addressed.
