ALUMNI SPOTLIGHT
Brandon Holthaus’ 07

Since he graduated, Brandon has worked in video production for the Maryland Lottery, as an assistant producer at Maryland Public Television( MPT), and in video production at Stevenson University. He has worked on national shows like MotorWeek, Primal Grill with Steven Raichlen, and the Volvo Ocean Race. He currently works as a Senior Video Editor at MPT.
Emma Catherine Smith’ 20
In her first year as a Marching Raven, it’ s not a surprise that Emma Catherine Smith’ 20 is still involved in music. While a student at Stevenson, Emma Cathy participated in Marching Band, Pep Band, Concert Band, the University Singers, All Natural a Capella Group, and the Greenspring Valley Orchestra. She was named drum major during her senior year and even graduated with a minor in Music. Emma Cathy has aspired to be a Marching Raven for a long time, but, at graduation, only had four years of baritone and marching band experience. She continued to put off auditioning until realizing that she really missed being part of an ensemble and decided to audition in 2025. During the audition process, Emma Cathy connected with two other Stevenson alums, helping to build her confidence. Since joining the Marching Ravens, she has enjoyed each rehearsal and is eagerly counting down the days until the first home game.
