Wits Language School was established in 1997 and is part of the
Faculty of Humanities at the University of the Witwatersrand
in Johannesburg.
The Wits Language School English Improvement (EI) Programme
is designed to meet the needs of South Africans whose mother
tongue is not English. The courses will assist in improving
performance abilities in all four language skills: Listening,
Speaking, Reading and Writing, thereby enabling students to
reach their full potential through effective communication.
The Wits Language School has partnered with Varsity College to
provide tuition and venues for its courses.

The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) is
the world’s largest professional body of management accountants
and its qualifications are highly sought after in the fields of
Management Accounting.
CIMA Global’s members are qualified to work in various sections
of an organisation, not only finance. The skills they are taught
through CIMA studies include analyzing information, formulating
business strategies, identifying and managing risk, planning,
budgeting and communicating their findings to non-financial
managers. This distinguishes prospective employees with CIMA
qualifications from other applications. CIMA endorses The IIE’s
BCom degree in Financial Management.
