Utopi and Watergate sign distribution agreement
Utopi , a data solutions and ESG technology specialist , has agreed on a distribution agreement with Watergate , a smart water management company . The agreement will add Watergate ’ s smart water management products to Utopi ’ s technology solutions .
Following a partnership at Greystar ’ s Chapter Islington property , the companies have expanded their collaboration in the multi-tenant real estate sector . Utopi states this will enhance its data capabilities for utility consumption . Watergate ’ s system includes the ‘ Sonic Smart Water Valve ’ and associated software with AI data analysis . The technology aims to prevent leaks , reduce insurance costs and support ESG goals by detecting abnormal water use and shutting off supply if necessary .
B & W secures USD 25 million power plant contract
Babcock & Wilcox Construction Co ., LLC ( BWCC ) has been awarded a USD 25 million contract for boiler upgrades , pressure part replacements and other maintenance services at a US thermal power plant . The work will be carried out during the plant ’ s autumn 2024 outage . Mike Hidas , BWCC Vice President and General Manager , stated that coal power provides approximately 20 percent of electrical power in the US . He added that BWCC aims to ensure energy security by helping customers maintain reliable operation of baseload generating assets . BWCC operates regional construction offices across the US and Canada to manage projects and respond to customer requests .
Gensol Engineering and Matrix Gas win bio-hydrogen project contract
A consortium of Gensol Engineering and Matrix Gas & Renewables has secured a Rs 1.64 billion contract to develop India ’ s first bio-hydrogen project . The facility will convert 25 tonnes of bio-waste into one tonne of green hydrogen daily , with completion expected within 18 months . The project will use technology developed by US-based Westinghouse , with whom Gensol has a strategic partnership . Separately , Gensol has acquired a 99.99 % stake in Gridstor Energy for Rs 99990 . The company has also launched a US subsidiary , Scorpius Trackers , aiming to supply over 2000 MW of solar trackers annually by 2028 .
Somas appoints Accelleron as authorized service provider
Somas Instrument AB has appointed Accelleron as the authorised global service provider for its marine customers . Accelleron will service Somas valves on marine installations , primarily in exhaust aftertreatment systems such as selective catalytic reduction and exhaust gas recirculation . Somas customers will have access to 24 / 7 support through Accelleron ’ s network of over 100 locations worldwide . Accelleron ’ s service engineers will be trained to service the valves to the same standard as Somas engineers . The agreement allows Accelleron to expand its service competence to include additional components of engine exhaust systems . Accelleron will also be authorised to sell and promote spare parts and services for Somas products .
