1946 and located in Houston , Texas , manufactures severeservice valves and control systems . Both companies produce industrial valves for global energy infrastructure . Their products are used in over 50 countries to improve automation , employee safety , process reliability and efficiency while reducing equipment failures . The acquisition by SCF Partners brings these established valve manufacturers under new ownership , potentially influencing their future operations and market position .

Velan sign agreement with GEH SMR Technologies Canada
Velan Inc has entered into a Main Services Agreement ( MSA ) with GEH SMR Technologies Canada Ltd to provide products and services for a Small Modular Reactor
( SMR ) project for Ontario Power Generation Inc . GEH has placed an initial purchase order with Velan to develop technology and related products . Future orders for similar SMRs in Canada , the United States and globally could significantly impact Velan ’ s revenue and operations , provided the company continues to meet the MSA requirements . Chevron boosts oil and natural gas facilities
Chevron Corporation has begun water injection operations at its Jack / St . Malo and Tahiti facilities in the deepwater US Gulf of Mexico . The company states these projects aim to boost oil and natural gas recovery . At Jack / St . Malo , Chevron ’ s first waterflood project in the deepwater Wilcox trend is expected to add approximately
175 million barrels of oil equivalent to the St . Malo field ’ s gross ultimate recovery . The facility is located 450 km south of New Orleans in 2134 m of water . At Tahiti , 306 km south of New Orleans in 1250 m of water , Chevron has started injecting water into its first deepwater Gulf producer-to-injector conversion wells .
