INNOVATIONS & SOLUTIONS
Emerson, Interwell introduce retrievable electric gas lift system
Emerson and Interwell have launched the Adaptive Gas Lift System( AGLS), the world’ s first retrievable electric gas lift system designed to meet internationally recognised safety and performance standards. The AGLS enables continuous optimisation of oil production without the need for invasive and costly well interventions. Conventional gas lift systems typically optimise production during the early life of a well, when tubing pressure is high. However, as reservoir conditions evolve, drawdown efficiency decreases and oil output can decline, often leading to overinjection
or under-injection of lift gas. Traditional injection pressure operated( IPO) valves require reducing casing pressure to close, which limits injection depth and production. Manipulating casing pressure and managing temperaturerelated uncertainties in valve behaviour also frequently causes multi-pointing, where gas is injected at unintended depths, leading to inefficiencies and lost production. Addressing these challenges usually necessitates complex and costly well interventions to adjust valve port sizes or change injection depths.
The Adaptive Gas Lift System transforms gas lift operations by providing real-time remote control of valve port sizes, gas injection rates, injection depths, and drawdown, without
interrupting production. Because valve closure does not rely on reducing casing pressure, deeper injection is achievable, improving lifting efficiency over the life of the well.
Valcor Engineering vibration laboratory
Valcor Engineering Corporation, a designer and manufacturer of custom precision fluid and motion controls for space, aircraft, ground vehicles, nuclear, and scientific / industrial industries has expanded its in-house capabilities with the addition of a new Vibration Laboratory. Valcor’ s new in-house Vibration Laboratory offers comprehensive and efficient testing capabilities, eliminating the extended lead times associated with using external facilities. Vibration Lab capabilities include: 2 highly capable vibration machines; Full 3-axis( X, Y, Z) vibration testing: sine sweep and random vibration; active hydraulic or pneumatic flow through test articles during vibration; the ability to thermally condition the unit under test; and In-house report generation. The Vibration Lab is led by a highly experienced Senior Dynamics & Environmental Test Engineer and supported by a dedicated team of technicians operating across multiple shifts to ensure maximum testing availability and responsiveness.
Canfield Gatormate GTMC Deutsch Style Duo Connector
Canfield Connector has announced the launch of the GatorMate GTMC Deutsch Style Duo Connector, a high-performance connectivity solution designed to simplify wiring for double solenoid hydraulic valves while enhancing durability and performance in extreme environments. Engineered for versatility and built to withstand the toughest industrial and mobile conditions, the GTMC system brings a new level of efficiency to valve wiring. It features a single multipaired cable that connects to the first solenoid via a rugged DT0 2-pin Deutsch connector and then jumps power and signal to the second solenoid through a compact GT 180 connector.
This design significantly reduces cable bulk, minimises installation time, and eliminates unnecessary connections— without sacrificing reliability. The GatorMate GTMC is fully customizable, available in various cable lengths to meet diverse application needs. For added functionality and protection, both connectors can be equipped with indicator lights and surge suppression options.
Chaoda USA introduces forged-steel gate valve
Chaoda USA offers forged steel gate valves renowned for their robustness and efficiency in high-pressure and hightemperature environments. These valves are crafted using a forging process that enhances their structural integrity, making them suitable for demanding applications. Designed in accordance with API 602 standards, the OS & Y gate valves of Chaoda support straight through, bi-directional flow, ensuring minimum flow loss and pressure drop, essential for optimal performance. These valves are extensively used across industries such as oil / gas refining, pulp and paper, power generation, and chemical / petrochemical sectors. They are available in a size range of 1 ⁄ 4” to 2” and pressure classes from 150 to 1500, with various end connections including socket weld, threaded, and flanged. These valves undergo rigorous inspection and testing, conforming to API 598 and API 624 standards, to ensure reliable and safe operation.
