Velan Awarded Valve Order for Pickering Nuclear Generation Station
Velan Inc. has been awarded a valve order exceeding CAD $ 20 million from Ontario Power Generation( OPG) to supply Emergency Cooling Injection( ECI) valves for three reactors being refurbished at the Pickering Nuclear Generation Station in Pickering, Ontario, Canada.
These critical valves, rated ASME III class 1, represent the highest standard of safety and reliability in their category. Velan supplied the original valves more than 45 years ago and has continuously supported Pickering through its construction and refurbishment program.
The first shipment is scheduled for January 2027 with subsequent deliveries to be completed by January 31, 2028.

AMPO POYAM Delivers Fully Integrated ISS System in South America
AMPO POYAM Valves has delivered a fully integrated subsea valve system for a leading company in South America. The Integrated Smart Solution( ISS) enables compressed air passage under the sea, off the coast, and was designed, manufactured, assembled, and tested in Idiazabal to meet the client’ s demanding requirements.
Installed in a seismic area, the system’ s HPU, control panel, and supporting structures were reinforced with a specially designed structure to ensure safe and reliable operation under extreme conditions.
The ISS offers three operation modes including remote operation from the client’ s control room, local control panel operation, and manual mode.
