the founder of VLE.
Valencia Language Exchange is also
known for Festival Internacional Dels
Idiomes. For how many years do you
organize FIDI? Why do you thought
about organizing it?
In 2020 there will be the 4th edition of
FIDI. FIDI was founded with the objective
to promote language learning from
a different perspective, with different
activities, like music, theatre, dances,
gastronomy etc...open to all ages.
How much time do you need to
organize this festival? When do
you start planning everything? How
many people work on organizing the
festival?
FIDI needs, 6-8 month of organization, we
start in beginning of October and finish in
May. We are a team of 6 organizers and
there will be 6 interns.

How many people participate in FIDI?
How many people do you expect in
2020?
Last year, FIDI hosted 10,000 people
which was more than double from the
second edition. We were expecting
around 5000 people so we were quite
surprised. In 2020, we hope that around
10,000 participants will come.
Can you tell us the main idea of this
event? What was the first and main
objective?
The idea came many years before, when
a lady could not enter to a bar because
she was with a small child. After this
moment, the organizers of VLE decided
to make an event where adults and
children could enjoy the languages and at
the same time learn them.
