VLE exists already from 2008. This year
we will celebrate it's 11th anniversary.
What was the beginning and the first
idea of VLE? Why did you set up this
organization?
When I came to Spain in 2007, I wanted
to learn Spanish and I didn’t have enough
money for classes. I started posting the
banners on the traffic lights hoping that
someone will give me Spanish classes in
exchange of French or English classes.
One day a man named Juan proposed
me French - Spanish class. This was the
beginning of VLE.
Why did you want to learn another
language?
I love languages, I used to travel a lot to
learn new languages, I lived in more than
8 countries.
Do you think VLE has changed a lot
during these 11 years?
Yes, VLE has changed a lot, some years
before it was a group of some friends
and now it is one of the biggest groups in
Europe. We used to organize meetings
in houses. Now VLE organizes meetings
in the biggest places of Valencia. VLE
is collaborating with regional ministry of
education, and in many occasions VLE
also collaborated with Ayuntamiento de
Valencia, Tourism valencia etc...
