People from all walks of life come together to showcase their creativity through art, music, performances and various forms of expression. It’ s truly inspiring to witness the power of collective action and the resilience of individuals who are passionate about freedom and justice. These events create a vibrant and inclusive space where voices can be heard and ideas can flourish.”
THAILAND: Held actions on“ Rising for Environmental Justice” – with a climate justice run – highlighting how their indigenous communities are affected by mining companies. Over the year they will be holding OBR feminist camps.
TOGO: Held an action“ Running a marathon for freedom”.
MALI: Held an inter-generational debate on raising awareness on violence, mechanisms in place to end them, and regulations in Mali on the issue.
BOTSWANA: Held an artistic rising festival led by the youth.
ZAMBIA: Held risings in primary and secondary schools focusing on child marriage and the importance of thirdparty reporting.

SIERRA LEONE: Rising event took place at the Kroo Bay( a slum community) in collaboration with The Women’ s Alliance on natural resource governance.
PAKISTAN: Held“ Rise For Freedom” poster campaigns as well as a“ Community Family Mela” which had various booths and stalls with interactive information, where attendees could learn about OBR, its origins and global impact.
