Internet Based TOEFL( iBT) certificate will be required to attend an interview at the ELC, and may have to take further in-house tests to ensure that the student’ s iBT scores are consistent with his or her proficiency in English.
Students who pass the TOEFL or IELTS, including the TOEFL iBT( internetbased TOEFL) as verified by certificate, may enter

directly into their full-time English-based academic programs. Students who receive less than the required TOEFL or IELTS passing score are placed into one of four proficiency levels in the Intensive English Program( IEP). Students in the IEP must obtain the required TOEFL or IELTS score before admission to courses in their majors. |

Program Description
The English Language Center offers a four-level, fully integrated IEP program in listening, speaking, grammar, reading and writing. Dedicated TOEFL and IELTS preparation courses are also offered. Students in the IEP receive 25 hours per week of classroom instruction and have access to both computer and listening labs.
