Bachelor of Laws ( LLB )
Develop the values , legal skills and qualities you ’ ll need to become a qualified legal practitioner with the UNSW Bachelor of Laws ( LLB ). We teach undergraduate law as a double degree , providing students with the advantages of a broader education and a better understanding of the value of the law in practice . We offer 21 double degree combinations , partnering with programs in the arts , business , science and engineering faculties . Our student-focused , interactive teaching approach emphasises experiential learning to teach you analytical and practical skills needed in a wide range of careers .

Bachelor of Criminology & Criminal Justice
The UNSW Bachelor of Criminology & Criminal Justice critically explores the complexities of criminal justice , crime prevention and law enforcement . This degree looks at the big picture of crime by bringing together cross-faculty knowledge from the School of Law , Society and Criminology and School of Social Sciences . Through innovative teaching that focuses on real-world case studies and experiences outside the classroom , you ’ ll gain critical insights into all aspects of the justice system .
Juris Doctor ( JD )
The UNSW Juris Doctor ( JD ) provides the basis for admission to legal practice in Australia , as well as a wide range of careers in government , business , legal and social policy and international relations . The UNSW JD is a flexible postgraduate program , with the option to study part-time , and a variety of classes available to shape your timetable to suit your priorities . You benefit from JD-only classes throughout the compulsory component of the degree to enable you to establish a strong collegial network with classmates from various backgrounds and experiences .
Every JD student gains hands-on experience at Kingsford Legal Centre , our on-site community legal centre , and can gain practical experience through a wide range of internships and legal clinics through UNSW ’ s own centres and institutes as well as with our industry partners .

Master of Laws ( LLM )
Our Master of Laws ( LLM ) is a flexible , world-class postgraduate program that offers graduates from law and non-law backgrounds the opportunity to develop an advanced and contemporary understanding of one or more areas of legal study , to ultimately acquire further expertise and enhance career aspects . The UNSW LLM is a unique program with entry pathways for students from law and non-law backgrounds .
The LLM does not qualify you to be admitted to practise law in Australia but is designed to expand knowledge and develop expertise across eight cutting-edge and in-demand areas of specialisation . Students who enter the program with a law background are eligible to graduate with two specialisations as no foundation core courses are required .
