RESEARCH GROUP
Deciding with Support is a website that assists people with disability , and those who support them , to make decisions about health and community services .
Designed for people with disability first , it provides a toolkit of resources for everyone involved in positive behaviour support , including supporters , behaviour support practitioners and service providers .
The website is an example of co-designed disability inclusive practice . It was created in collaboration between Flinders University , the Social Policy Research Centre UNSW , and NSW Council for Intellectual Disability .
> Promoted by National Disability Insurance Scheme ( NDIS ) Quality and Safeguards Commission to all staff and service providers as good practice .
> Over 50 people consulted in the co-design process .
The team included academics , advocates , and people with disability who informed the development of the website and resources such as videos , learning modules in easy read and worksheets .
