What ’ s this course about ?
On this HCPC-approved course you ’ ll learn to examine patients safely using X-ray , CT scanning , fluoroscopy , MRI , ultrasound and more . You ’ ll practise your skills in simulated healthcare facilities , including our digital X-ray suite and digital mobile unit . Crucially , you ’ ll also spend at least 10 weeks each year on clinical placement , working alongside experienced radiographers and other healthcare professionals within a clinical setting . You ’ ll be eligible to register with the HCPC when you graduate .
Requirements
112 – 120 points from 3 A levels , or equivalent , including a minimum of 32 points from a Science subject ( preferably Biology , Chemistry , Physics or Mathematics ). A levels in Applied Science , PE , Psychology and Sports Science are considered . BTEC Extended Diploma in a Science based subject and Science based Access to Higher Education awards are also welcomed .
All shortlisted applicants will be invited to attend an interview in support of their application .
Applicants must pass Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service ( DBS ) and Occupational Health checks before starting the course .

Become a registered mental health nurse through simulated practice and clinical placements on this NMC-approved degree . Our course is developed and delivered with NHS partners , so you gain the skills to observe , assess , engage with and support people in need . As well as exploring scenarios in our Centre for Simulation in Health and Care , you ’ ll work with patients in real healthcare settings and in patients ’ homes , building key skills in mental health nursing assessment and care .

With one-to-one expert mentorship from a registered healthcare practitioner , you ’ ll gain a wealth of skills and experience . You ’ ll practise examinations and procedures in our sector-leading Centre for Simulation in Health and Care . And you ’ ll spend more than half your time in real operating theatres and wards at our partner hospitals .
