Why study this course?
International Business Management opens a gateway into the exciting and
fast-paced world of multinational enterprise and management. With options
to study abroad, study a language and take a placement year, you will graduate
with the skills and knowledge that provide a truly international outlook on
business.
This course aims to provide you with a realistic perspective on what
happens in a range of organisations and explores the concepts and
debates in global management. Through a selection of case studies and
projects, you will learn about the difficulties and benefits of managing
people, strategies, processes and structures across cultures and
languages.
Learning, to challenge received wisdom and to think about innovative
approaches to business. You can choose to learn new languages or
to study abroad for part of your course. You have the option to take a
placement year as part of this programme which is a great opportunity
to extend your skills and experience and prepare for working life after
graduation.
What will this mean for my future?
You will graduate with a wide range of skills to bring to the global
employment market with a solid understanding of both business and
the global context. This will prepare you for a wide range of careers in
the public, private and third sectors. You might choose to work as an
international management, in management consultancy, IT, banking,
import/export, sales, marketing or logistics, or to use your transferable
skills to an indirectly related career of your choice. You could also
choose to go on to study for a postgraduate qualification.
