International Business and Marketing

Why study this course?
In today's globalised world, most organisations operate internationally.
International Business and Marketing provides you with a globalised approach
to marketing, business management and operations, providing the skills needed
to work in these organisations. You will graduate with skills and knowledge that
provide a truly international approach to marketing and business.
International business will help you to appreciate the diversity of
international work cultures and acquire the skills to help manage them.
Through a varied selection of cases, you will learn about the global
business environment, international business strategies, supply chains
and cross-cultural management.
In marketing you will learn how to plan and implement successful
marketing strategies, explore branding and digital marketing and how to
implement these in the context of international business. There’s also
a firm grounding in the wider social context of organisation and a broad
reflection on the ethics of business and marketing. International study,
languages and placement year are available on this course.
What will this mean for my future?
The programme will help you to acquire a wide range of skills to bring
to the global employment market. In particular, a solid understanding
of business and marketing in the global context. Careers open to you
include international management, management consultancy, sales,
logistics or marketing.
Many different types of organisation recruit international business and
marketing graduates, not just commerce and industry but also health
services, local and central government, charities and educational
establishments. Alternatively, you might choose to use your transferable
skills in an indirectly related career of your choice. You could also choose
to go on to study for a postgraduate qualification in either subject.
