CRIMINAL JUSTICE
Program Description : Students with a university major other than criminal justice may earn a minor in criminal justice by completing six courses ( 18 credits ): CRJ 102 , 215 , 216 , and three CRJ electives . Students must earn a “ C ” or better in all courses in the minor . For Minor Requirements , see Program Handbook and Curriculum Sheets
Program Admissions Requirements and Procedures : Follow University ’ s admissions procedures .
Internal / External Transfers : A maximum of six credits may be transferred from another college . Students must earn a “ C ” or better in all courses in the minor . For Minor Requirements , see Program Handbook and Curriculum Sheets .
Academic Standards / Grade Requirements : A grade of C or higher is required in each of the minor courses . A student may achieve less than a “ C ” grade in only two minor courses and he / she may repeat these courses only once .
Academic Progress , Probation and Program Dismissal : If a student , regardless of his / her cumulative grade point average , achieves less than a “ C ” grade on a third minor course , or fails to bring all grades up to a “ C ” with one repeat , he / she may be dismissed from the program .
Experiential Learning : Students are required to engage in an internship , which allows students to put theory into practice , observe professionals engaging their field of study , practice their skills under the supervision of seasoned professionals , network within their chosen field and gain valuable experience . Requirements and other information regarding the internship are detailed in the program handbook . Students should consult with their academic advisor the year before they plan to register for the internship . Students are responsible for their own transportation to and from off campus experiential learning opportunities .

DATA ANALYTICS
Program Description : With a minor in data analytics , students will gain a foundational understanding of data analytics using the latest techniques and approaches . Students will learn how to write code to manipulate data , perform statistical analysis , and create visualizations . Through hands-on projects and case studies , students will apply their newly acquired knowledge and skills to real-world datasets . Ethical issues related to data collection , privacy , and security will also be explored . A minor in data analytics complements a wide range of majors and prepares students to remain competitive and relevant in the workforce .
