School Description : The School of Arts and Sciences houses disciplines in the traditional liberal arts and in the social and computational sciences , including English , history , philosophy , religious studies , languages , psychology , sociology , mathematics , music , art , science , and computer science . Major programs of study include Biology , Computer Information Science , Criminal Justice , History , Philosophy , Psychology , Public Health , and Social Work . The Honors Program , a curriculum of rigorous , challenging courses in the liberal arts and sciences , which is open to academically qualified undergraduate students , is also a part of the School of Arts and Sciences .
School Mission Statement : The School of Arts and Sciences is committed to fostering academic excellence by providing a core curriculum and degree programs in the fine arts , humanities , sciences , social sciences , and public health that cultivate habits of mind in graduates who are actively engaged in scholarship , leadership , innovation , and service .
Credit Requirements : Students accepted into a program of study are expected to complete all courses at Gwynedd Mercy University . Transcripts for courses completed at regionally accredited institutions will be evaluated for transfer , and all remaining program requirements will be expected to be completed at Gwynedd Mercy University . The School of Arts and Sciences has a minimum residency requirement of fifty ( 50 ) credits for all students transferring into a traditional , non-term bachelor ’ s degree program and a minimum residency requirement of thirty ( 30 ) for all students transferring into a traditional , non-term associate degree program .
