The P6 camp to Chang Mai, in Thailand, the P5 Trip to Yangzhou, the P4 trip to Zhaoqing and the P3 camp at Zeng Cheng were highly successful this month. Students were observed being more adventurous, growing more independent, making new friendships and developing positive leadership skills and social skills. Camps are a valuable environment for self-exploration and positive risk-taking, an ideal place for physical activity, creative play and appreciation of nature.
Primary Assemblies are being held to focus on the attributes of the IB Learner Profile and the UCAC members and the Sports Captains, under the guidance of Mr Englefield and Mr Elliot, have organised activities to build House Spirit.
The Utahloy Open Day on 12 November provided an opportunity for parents and visitors to observe teachers and students in action and highlights of the day were the Mother Tongue Story telling sessions, the P4 Science Fair in the Canteen, a Lunchtime Concert in the Atrium and a variety of Language, Mathematics and Unit of Inquiry learning engagements.
