First Edition
USIG commits to an International Baccalaureate education which aims to develop inquiring, knowledgeable and caring young people who help to create a better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect. Our programme encourages students across the world to become active, compassionate and lifelong learners who understand that other people, with their differences, can also be right.
Change is an integral part of learning and growing, and there is need for constant interaction and exchange of news and information about what is happening. In addition to four annual general UPTA meetings, more programme specific workshops are held to enlighten you about how your child is being taught and how we know what he/she is learning.
The Primary Years Programme Parent Workshops are interactive, informative and entertaining, highlighting our Primary Action Goals which focus on Language Learning, the Learning Environment and Assessment. During these sessions different approaches to teaching and learning of Mathematics and Science and the use of ICT as a tool for learning will also be explored and parent queries addressed.
