Yu Ting (Jennifer) Hsueh
I grew up in China and therefore I feel like I am losing touch with who I am
as a Taiwanese. Living in China for my entire life really has had a dramatic
impact on me; when I go back to Taiwan, sometimes I don’t feel like I belong there. I feel that as a Taiwanese, it is my duty to let other people know
about Taiwan’s rich culture and traditions. I think the best way to represent
a country is by their indigenous people; therefore I represented Taiwan with
our indigenous people and made a difference by raising awareness. I
chose to raise awareness for the Thao tribe, one of the smallest indigenous
tribes in Taiwan that is facing issues. I produced a series of key-chains that
represented this tribe and I distributed it to a small community.

I am Haejin Lee, and I recall that I have fancied architecture since I was
seven years old, and that I have started learning software that is involved in
architecture and engineering when I was in grade five. I have been interested in the sustainability of modern urbanisation, and the globalisation of our
society. My pursuit of architecture led me to Xian Cun and its problem. Xian
