Praise The Lord: The 8th grade Confirmation class held their retreat at
Cedar Grove Retreat Center, April 12-14th. 30 Confirmands, 14 youth leadership team members and 7 adults spent a weekend learning about their purpose, what it means to be a Christian and how to stay connected to God. It was a great time of fellowship together, learning about God and growing in faith! We are excited for the Confirmands, who will join the church on Sunday, May 12th.
On April 28th the youth of UCUMC led both worship services, from start to finish! They led worship focused on our theme for the year,“ Life Has Questions … God Has Answers”( 1 Peter 3:15) through singing, speaking, ushering, greeting, helping in Super Hero Central, ringing bells, puppets, and everything in between! We are thankful for a church body that supports the youth and allows them to take over for one Sunday each year!

Confirmation Sunday- May 12th 9:45am & 11:00am Help the most recent FUSION Confirmation Class celebrate their journey this school year during either Sunday morning service. Practice for the Confirmation class will be the day before at 10:00am.
Come and honor our graduating seniors as we recognize them during our 11:00 worship hour on Sunday, June 9th. All seniors are asked to wear their cap & gown. Contact Megan Leap – mleap @ ucumc. org – for more information.

June 2nd- FUSION Family End of the Year Cookout; 5:30pm – 7:30pm in the Fellowship Hall. Join us as we celebrate the end of the school year and the beginning of summer! Is your child graduating from high school or college this year? If so, we want to honor them at Cap & Gown Sunday on June 9, 2013. If your graduate would like to participate, please send the following information to Megan Leap, mleap @ ucumc. org, by Sunday, May 19th:
1. Your child’ s name as you want in to appear in the bulletin; 2. The school they are graduating from; 3. The school that they will attend or other plans after graduation( high school graduates); 4. Their degree earned( college graduates).
