UAB Blazer Express provides transportation throughout
the campus both during and after work hours. With a valid
UAB Medicine ID badge, employees can enjoy fare-free
bus transportation along several designated routes.
They can also take advantage of a late-night, on-demand
van service.

MOTORIST ASSISTANCE ROADSIDE SERVICE (MARS)

MARS is a free service available to visitors, students,
and employees who park on campus and need help
with a dead battery, fl at tire, keys locked in a car, or
empty gas tank. Call for hours of operation and to
request service.
COMMUTESMART BIRMINGHAM

The CommuteSmart Program encourages
individuals to change their commuting habits and
educates them on cleaner modes of transportation.
Employees qualify for a variety of incentives if they
choose alternate transportation methods such as
walking, carpooling, and public transit.
UAB Medicine Wayfinder

UAB Medicine Wayfi nder is a navigation app that
enables staff to better assist patients with directions
around the medical campus. To download the app
search for "UAB Medicine Wayfi nder" on the Apple
App Store or the Google Play store.
Child Care

The Child Development Center serves employees’
children age 6 weeks to 5 years. The center is open
Monday through Friday from 6:30 am to 6:00 pm.
KinderCare

UAB Medicine employees receive a 10 percent discount
on full-time, part-time, and drop-in tuition for children
ages 6 weeks to 12 years at KinderCare’s child care
centers or before- and after-school sites.
