Politics
Warren G. Harding
Harding served as president for 1921—
1923, being highly favored by the people
of America, although later losing his favor
by the Teapot Dome Scandal.
Teapot Dome Scandal
Secretary of the Interior, Albert Bacon Fall, leased Navy petroleum to
private oil companies for low, non-competitive rates. This created
Harding to be the political evil, and eventually got him kicked out of
office.
Kellogg Briand Pact
This act brought an agreement to
the states who signed the document that all tension that would be
brought up between them would
not be settled with war. After WWI,
this was a huge relief for American
citizens.
