Tell us about your family: Mother of 3. Gavin( 16), Adrianna( 12), Isabella( 5). Parents: Shawn & Shinko Dawley. Partner: Weston Faulkner and 2 children Graham( 13) & Hayden( 11).
What do you do to unwind? In my bedroom. I love my heated blanket. I enjoy getting in my bed at the end of the day and being cozy and calm. I’ ll pull out my seek and find word book and go to town! I also enjoy being on the golf course with friends!
Where would we find your books... in an app or on a shelf? Most of my books are in an app as audiobooks! Mel Robbins“ Let Them” and Levitt & Dubner’ s“ Freakonomics” are some of my favorites right now.
What is your favorite movie? Show. Wolf of Wall Street. Anything with Will Ferrell or Adam Sandler.
The United States is.... the land of the free and home of the brave. As a military dependent, I am very proud to be an American and truly love this country. I may have been born in Okinawa, Japan but the U. S. is home. Anything is possible here!!!
What is your motto?“ It takes one person to change the trajectory of someone’ s life”... I say this because there was one person for me who completely changed my path and I hope to be that person for many others. I am very intentional with my time and everyday try to do something meaningful for someone.
I owe it all to.... God. My wonderful parents. They have truly been so involved in my life and are my best friends. The amount of support they have shown me is incredible. My aunt has also been such an important part of my life. As a single mom, she has always been a very loving example to me.
Fun fact about you: While playing club volleyball I hit my head and lost my memory for 7 hours. The hospital said it was a real life“ 50 First Dates” scene.
Where do you find your inspiration? My inspiration comes from my family. It’ s so important to me that my kids know they can do anything they put their mind to. Freedom to truly live life and enjoy it is such a blessing. They inspire me every day to keep pushing and to never give up. Your past doesn’ t define you and there’ s so much opportunity to do good in the world.
Where do you volunteer? Habitat for Humanity, Board Member for Impact 100, Board Member for New Hope Services.
Why do you volunteer? I want to be a servant like Christ was. I believe that the world can be a better place when we are selfless and focus on something other than ourselves. Giving your time or money to a cause that can be life changing for someone is a great feeling. To get outside of yourself and out of a routine to provide for other’ s needs!
