Founder chairman Green Lanes Environmental Action Movement ( GLEAM ) 1995-2016 and Green Lanes Protection Group 2005-2016 . He married Carolyn Naylor in 1963 , who survives him together with 2 sons and a daughter .

Worcester College Oxford 1954-7 , 2 Jur . Trained with Coopers and Lybrand , FCA . He took a conscious decision to work in industry , rather than the City , and went to Consolidated Goldfields and then Amey Roadstone . He was a keen sailor , golfer , squash player and Bridge player . He married Jennifer Tyrrell in 1960 , who died in 2011 , and is survived by 2 daughters and a son .

ICI 1956-7 ; Cole , Dickin & Hills , Accountants 1957-60 . Antiquarian book and music seller from 1960 , above all first editions and autograph manuscripts and letters . He also completed valuations of many libraries and collections and represented collectors at auctions in UK and Europe . Publisher of Music for London Entertainment 1660-1800 1983-7 and Bibliography of Hector Berlioz 1980 . Board member and then general secretary , New Berlioz Edition ( 1965-2005 ) and editor of various works on Berlioz ; member of the Berlioz Centenary Committee 1969 . He formed extensive collections of Berlioz and Mendelssohn , now respectively at Bibliothèque Nationale de France , Paris and Mendelssohnhaus , Leipzig . A humorous , gentle and intelligent man , a lover of opera , a fantastic and generous host . He married ( 1 ) Mary Sutherland in 1965 ; and ( 2 ) Janet Hughes in 1981 , separated 2017 . Anthony John Redfern ( K , 49-53 ); died 5.8.2024 . National service in the East Kent Regiment . Oriel College Oxford , Law , BA 1959 . Qualified as a solicitor 1962 and joined his father ’ s firm Kenneth Redfern & Co in Gillingham Kent . In 1976 the firm amalgamated with Stigant Son and Taylor to become the largest firm in the Medway Towns where he specialised in conveyance and corporate law , becoming president of the Rochester Chatham and Gillingham Law Society . In 1983 he became President of the Kent Law Society . He retired in 1996 and thereafter devoted his time to his beautiful garden , travel and golf . In 1965 he married Frances Beach in 1965 , who survives him together with two sons .
