He was a members ’ agent at the Corporation of Lloyds for all of his working life and very well regarded . He travelled widely for his work and particularly loved New Zealand where he had many friends . He was a true gentleman . He had a great sense of humour which often got him into trouble pranking his friends and enemies alike . He enjoyed travelling all over Europe and loved hunting , which was his passion , also beagling , swimming and walking with his dogs . He married ( 1 ) Susan Coles , ( 2 ) Susan Guard and ( 3 ) Fiona Mac Gillavry , who survives him together with his 2 sons .

He adored his dogs , a long line of Hungarian Vizslas , and was at one point an ardent owner of three-day event horses , which competed in major trials around the country . He was also an avid bridge player and cryptic crossword completer , developed his own app for solving Sudoku when he was in his late 80s . He married Avis Murray in 1966 , who survives him , together with their son and daughter .

A painter and sculptor : Chelsea and RA Schools of Art ; past chairman and vice-president of Artists General Benevolent Institution . He held one-man exhibitions in London , Edinburgh , Antwerp , Dublin and Stockholm and was represented at other major exhibitions . He also painted the portrait of Sir Walter Oakeshott that hangs in School . He taught at various schools of art 1960-86 ; British Council Award 1977 . In retirement he was a full-time painter and occasional professional jazz pianist . He married Jill Tweed in 1952 , who died , and is survived by their daughter

He worked for Rolls Royce Ltd 1952-4 and Smiths Industries 1956- 64 ; Chartered Mechanical Engineer 1958 ; Ameys Ltd 1964-8 ; selfemployed 1968-89 . He married Susan Lyall in 1955 in Montreal , Canada who survives him , together with their 2 sons and 2 daughters .
Ivor Basil Ramsden ( I , 42-47 ); died 3.2.2022 . RMA Sandhurst 1947 ; 2 Lt Welsh Guards 1949 ; 1 / 10th Gurkha Rifles 1953-4 ; MBE 1959 ; retired as Major . Landowner and High Sheriff , Pembrokeshire 1969 ; a Member of HM Body Guard , Hon Corps of Gentlemen at Arms from 1979 . He was a central figure in the development and management of Pembroke Castle Trust for decades , both as a Manager and Trustee . He married Carola Bird in 1955 , who predeceased him , and is survived by a son and a daughter .
