Known as the “me” generation, Baby Boomers are also stereotyped as selfish and uninterested in giving back. Part of the generation following World War II, they grew up in a society unprepared to accommodate their large numbers, so they found schools to be overcrowded and the job market to be competitive. However, they also find personal gratification through peer recognition and office perks that signify seniority, such as a large office or an assigned parking space. While they traditionally find worth in their work ethic, the older Baby Boomers get, the more they look forward to retirement.
