Titan Girls Down Central
The Treasure Coast Titans Girls Softball team won yet
again on Friday February 28th, downing Fort Pierce Central
in a much closer game than the final 6-1 score and pitcher
Katlyn McCue struck out 12, walked none and allowed 5
hits in a 7 inning contest at Central.
McCue also had 2 of her teams 3 RBI’s as the Titan girls
belted out 7 hits while Senior Shortstop Michaela Sihler
led the way for the Titans with 2 hits.
Others connecting for base hits included Troy Test, Kara
Flynn and Madison Travagini.
The game saw plenty of action but none more so than
when Titan Catcher Troy Test tagged out Centrals Alethia
Jahn in the bottom of the fourth as Jahn was trying to
score from second base. A perfect throw by the Titans defense landed right in Test’s glove and she easily swung
around for the tag keeping the Titans 1-0 lead intact. Test,
who is only a sophomore is arguably the best defensive
catcher on the Treasure Coast.

The Titans schedule is packed next week as they face traditional powerhouse teams from Vero Beach on Monday,
South Fork on Wednesday, Martin County on Thursday
and John Carroll on Friday.

would become stronger.
The Lady Eagles learned important lessons at the beginning of the season dropping games to cross town rival
Treasure Coast, as well as South Fork and Central. Their
lone win was a 5-2 victory over Sebastian River on Valentine’s Day.
Yet the early season losses have brought out the best in
this highly talented and well-seasoned group of girls and
