Others connecting for the Eagles at the plate included
Allie Girard, Sarah Rider, Kayla Jones, Nicole Davis, Sydney Binner
and Kayla Barksdale each with one hit apiece.
On Friday the Lady Eagles downed the Jensen Beach Falcons 11-8 in Jenson under the lights. Eagle base runners
crossed the plate in the 1st, 3rd, 4th and 7th innings and
never gave up the lead in a 23 hit slugfest between the
teams. McHenry earned the win going all 7 innings strik-

ing out 3 and walking 5 as 56% of her pitches landed as
strikes.
At the plate Klaffer had another big day with 3 RBI’s on 2
hits. Sydney Binner led the way for the Eagles with 3 hits.
Others connecting the bat with the ball included Allie Girard, Sarah Rider (2), Nicole Davis, Kayla Jones (2), Kayla Barksdale
and Allison Sands. Klaffer, Jones and Binner each had doubles while Barksdale Sands, Binner, Rider and Davis each
had a stolen base.
Centennial travels to Sebastian River on Wednesday to
face the Sharks for the 2nd time this season and host always strong Vero Beach on Friday at 4pm.

their coach, Jennifer Register, as the team is more focused than ever.

Keeping in mind that Coach Register is a teacher by day
at the high school, it’s fair to say “lesson learned” for this
Eagles team that has found their grove and will only get
better as the season progresses.
