ASSOCIATIONS AND AFFILIATIONS Our employees are recognized experts who actively engage in their industries and within their areas of expertise. Through collaboration and partnership, TRC has long played a key role in industry associations, including the following: OIL AND GAS • Southern Gas Association • Interstate Natural Gas Association of America • American Fuel and Petrochemical Manufacturers • Gas Processors Association/Gas Processors Suppliers Association • Marcellus Shale Coalition POWER AND GENERATION • Power-Gen International • American Wind Energy Association • Solar Power International • Energy Leadership Forum G4-16 One of the challenges for the oil and gas industry is defining its social license to operate. Part of the difficulty is that the definition is subjective—it is based on who the stakeholders are, where they are, and their perceptions of not only the company, but of entire industries. Companies are striving to communicate local and regional social and economic benefits, and to demonstrate their commitment to the regions in which they operate. TRC represents its clients in the community through its involvement in siting and stakeholder engagement during permitting and licensing activities, and partners with its clients to develop and sustain those relationships.
