WELLNESS PROGRAM
With rapidly changing health care systems and costs, TRC emphasizes a holistic
approach to employee wellness.
At a minimum, wellness activities, employee assistance programs, and wellness-related educational resources are available to all of our employees. Comprehensive healthcare benefits are provided for our full-time employees.
Because employee wellness is part of a broader societal challenge, our employee engagement efforts in FY15 will focus on:
• Better understanding employee needs and interests (Wellness Survey in early
FY15)
• Educating on health status and available resources
• Engaging in incentivized health risk assessment/biometric evaluations
• Providing smoking cessation resources
• Defining and measuring impact of wellness programs
In FY14 we implemented four wellness initiatives in the form of Company-wide
fitness challenges. While these were successful, we are committed to increasing participation in our wellness initiatives in FY15 and beyond. Our target for
FY15 is to achieve participation of 40% of employees in biometric screenings and
health risk assessments. Enhanced employee incentives, such as financial discounts on healthcare, will be implemented to engage employees in our wellness
initiatives.
READY, SET, GO!
TRC employees participated in the Ready, Set, Go! challenge sponsored by
our healthcare benefits provider, Aetna Inc. The challenge was comprised of
an 8-week physical activity routine with progressively harder weekly goals.
Teams comprised of 5 to 11 members competed in the challenge categories
pedometer steps, exercise minutes, and weight loss. Weekly and overall
winners received prizes and company-wide recognition! Over the 8-week
period, TRC, as a company, achieved:
Steps Walked: 56,288,269 (Average 477,020/participant)
Exercise Minutes: 312,586 (Average 2,424/participant)
Weight Loss: 2.32% (Average 4.74 lbs/participant)
FY14 Targe t Achieved: Implement four wellness initiatives in FY14 to encourage
participation in wellness activities.
FY15 Target: Achieve participation from 40% of employees in biometrics survey and
wellness screenings.
