EXCELLENCE IN PROJECT MANAGEMENT TRAINING In support of our aspiration for TRC to become the best Project Management firm in our space, we launched an Excellence in Project Management (EPM) training series in 2011. The two-part training is designed to support the continuing improvement of our existing staff of talented Project Managers as well as provide an opportunity to nurture and develop our aspiring Project Managers. Since inception, 481 of our Project Managers have attended Part One of the in-person training, and 129 have attended Part Two, which covers more advanced topics appropriate for more complex projects. In FY14, 78 Project Managers attended one of the many training sessions. In FY14, we also added information on our sustainability initiative to the training, to expand awareness of emerging trends with those most closely connected to our clients. One of the benefits of the EPM training most often cited by attendees, is the opportunity to meet and network with colleagues across the organization. Due to the success of the program, we are planning on another 245 Project Managers attending either Part One or Part Two of the training program in FY15. 2014 Sustainability Report | 37 “TRC’s Excellence in Project Management Seminar series represents a significant investment in our top staff to not only improve their skills, but also to better connect them to the company and their peers from other areas of the firm. Attendees of the program are the beneficiaries of a very focused program of tips & strategies that promote improvements in our project management efforts.” - Dale Weiss, Senior Vice President, Planning, Permitting and Licensing
